Think Privacy

Elektron is pleased to present Think Privacy, a series of four mul­ti­lin­gual posters and a mirror by artist and researcher Adam Harvey. Drawing on the visual language of a public information campaign in the street, Think Privacy raises one of the most pressing ethical and political questions of our time: what does it mean to live in a world where our movements, faces, and online activities and inter­ac­tions are con­tin­u­ous­ly recorded and processed?

Originally started in 2016, Think Privacy has only grown more resonant with our connected, algo­rith­mi­cal­ly organised everyday lives: taking selfies, browsing the internet, unlocking phones and making payments using facial recognition, using a smart doorbell. The pre­sen­ta­tion at Luxembourg Art Week invites today’s audiences to examine the data trails generated by our most ordinary gestures in a compelling and visually striking way.
